Soo Hong

Soo Hong, a Bellevue, WA-based artist known for her expressive use of color and pattern in her abstract work presents “Cube Chapel”, a multimedia installation composed of colorful, etched window film paired with video projection. It provides the viewer with a unique experience depending on the time of the day and vantage point from which it is viewed. The installation space reminded Soo of Le Corbusier’s Ronchamp Chapel and gave an impression of both tranquility and playfulness. It inspired her to play with natural light, abstract shapes and color in this otherwise predominantly white space.
